FROM THE DESK OF KEELY:

LUCKY WE LIVE BLACK HILLS

It’s a mindset really, not a typo. There’s a vibe; an air about the place. Ask anyone, and they’ll agree. We’re lucky we live IN the Black Hills.  But it’s more than that. We LIVE Black Hills.

We live an unconventional life where many of us work extra hard in the Summer and take extended time off in the Winter. We are overly friendly, regularly butting into conversations to share our favorite local spots with visitors. We are active during all seasons, taking in the Black Hills from a kayak, snowshoes, side by side, and even hot air balloons. We love a slower simpler way of life. We respect and appreciate the outdoors because we are literally surrounded by world-class state parks, forests, monuments, parks, and memorials. And we know, we’re the lucky ones.

Ask anyone who’s visited, and they’ll tell you. The Black Hills are magical, there’s just no doubt about it. So when you’re here, remember to slow down, to respect your neighbor, your environment, and nature. And soak it all in. We’ll do the rest.
